Trust Words:A Team Building Exercise

Purpose: To begin a dialogue among team members about trust on the team. The discussion may range from trust among team members, to whether stakeholders and customers trust us, to the role of leadership in creating a climate of trust, to what team members can do to be trustworthy and beyond.

Preparation: Prepare a copy of the handout for each participant. Post a large copy on the wall, print it on a flipchart, or present it on a computer screen.

Process:

Image  Ask each person to “select the one word that best describes the team now.” Circle it.

  Tally the number of times each word was selected.
