Teaching Ethics in Corporate Finance Courses

Introduction

This chapter is written in the strong belief that ethics should be taught both as a stand-alone subject and as an integral and embedded part of the various management disciplines, in this case corporate finance.¹ Both approaches are likely to be beneficial and mutually reinforcing.

It offers a guide on “how to teach ethics in finance” in a “practical and sensible way,”² rather than a discussion of the theories of teaching ethics in finance.
