10.1. Introducing Forms

You can add forms to your Web site to make it more interactive, thus allowing viewers to enter and submit information to you through your Web pages.

Note: In order for a form to function, you need to have a script on your Web server to process the form information. Contact your Web hosting service to learn more about the unique requirements of your Web server and if it offers scripts you can use to process forms. Most form scripts are written in a programming language such as Perl, PHP, ASP.NET, or Java.
