Chapter 3. Organizing Your Photos

One of the main purposes of iPhoto is to streamline the process of managing large numbers of imported photos. All images that you import into iPhoto are stored in the Library, which resides in the Source list. Upon import, photos can be automatically organized into a structured filingsystem called Events. You can then sort your photos into subcategories such as personalized Albums or folders, which can be named after a vacation, reunion, or birthday party. iPhoto also enables you to further customize photo organization by setting preferences.
