iPhoto enables you to save your edited RAW files to high-quality, uncompressed TIFF files, instead of JPEG files, or edit RAW files in a more sophisticated external photo editor like Adobe Photoshop.

SAVE EDITED RAW FILES AS TIFF FILES
Click iPhoto in the main menu.
Click Preferences.
The iPhoto Preferences open.
Click Advanced.
Select the Save edits as 16-bit TIFF files ...
