Create a New Task

You can create entries for your To-Do list, displayed in Outlook’s Tasks window, in much the same way as you create entries for your Outlook calendar. An entry represents a task you need to complete. After you create an entry, it is added to your To-Do list.

Create a New Task

1.
If Contacts is not currently open, click the Tasks button in the navigation pane. Outlook switches to Task mode.

Click the New button. Outlook displays a new task window.

In the Subject field, type a description of your task.
4.
Type a due date for the task.

Click the Status and click a progress option.
