Attach a File to a Contact

You may find it necessary to attach a file to a contact record. For example, suppose one of your contacts e-mails you her résumé. You can attach that résumé to her contact record for easy access.

Attach a File to a Contact

1.
If Contacts is not currently open, click the Contacts button in the navigation pane. Outlook switches to Contacts.

Locate the contact to which you want to attach a file and double-click it to open it. The contact record opens in its own window.
3.
Click the Insert tab.
4.
In the Include group, click Attach File. The Insert File dialog box appears.
5.
Locate the file you want to attach to the contact record and click it to select it.
6.
Click the Insert button. An icon representing the file is placed in the Notes section of the contact record.
