7.1. Understanding Masters
PowerPoint offers three master views. Each enables you to set up the basic infrastructure for your slides to save you from having to arrange and design elements on every slide.
| Work with Three Kinds of Masters
PowerPoint uses the Slide Master, Handout Master, and Notes Master to control page layouts. Slide Master consists of an overall theme master and a master for each slide layout. PowerPoint applies changes made to placeholders, the background, and graphics on a master to corresponding presentation slides. Handout Master controls the layout of printed handouts, and Notes Master controls how printed notes pages look.
