Upload a Pin
You can create original pins when you upload images that you have on your computer. They could be photographs or other files in JPEG or PNG format. Uploading images directly to Pinterest is best when you have only an occasional image to upload. The maximum width Pinterest displays is 554 pixels. If you send a larger image, Pinterest will resize it. Your camera probably produces images two to three times that size. If you know how to reduce the size of your image to approximately 600 pixels wide, your uploads will go faster than trying to upload an image that is 2400 pixels wide.
