Close an App
In Windows 8, you generally do not need to close an app after you are finished with it. Apps that remain open use very few system resources, so your tablet’s performance will not suffer by leaving apps open. However, as you see in the next section, “Switch between Apps,” having several apps open can make it more difficult to switch from one to another. When that happens, you should close one or more apps that you are not using, making it easier to switch between others.
