Send an Instant Message
Windows 8 includes the Messaging app to enable you to exchange instant messages with other people who are online.
An instant messaging conversation begins by one person inviting another person to exchange messages. In Messaging, this means sending an initial instant message. You can send an instant message to your Microsoft account contacts and to your Facebook friends, as long as they are online and are accepting instant messages. See Chapter 6, “Getting Social with Your Tablet,” to learn how to connect your Facebook account to your Microsoft account.
