Connect to a Wireless Network

If your Mac has built-in wireless networking capabilities, you can use them to connect to a wireless network that is within range. This could be a network in your home, your office, or a public location such as a coffee shop. In most cases, this will also give you access to the wireless network’s Internet connection.

Most wireless networks have security turned on, which means you must know the correct password to connect to the network. However, after you have connected to the network once, your Mac remembers the password, and will connect again automatically the next time the network comes within range.
