Connect a SuperDrive to Your Mac mini

Your Mac mini does not include a built-in optical drive. So when you need to use a CD or DVD with your Mac mini, you must connect an optical drive.

You can connect an optical drive in two ways. The easiest way is to connect a USB optical drive, such as Apple’s SuperDrive, to one of the Mac mini’s USB ports. But if you have another Mac that has an optical drive, you can connect your Mac mini to the optical drive by using OS X’s Remote Disc feature.
