Go Back to an Earlier Version of a Document

OS X Mountain Lion includes a feature called versions that enables applications to save different versions of the same document in the same file. You can display the different versions of the document at the same time and go back to an earlier version if necessary.

Only applications written to work with OS X Lion and Mountain Lion can use the versions feature. This example uses TextEdit, the text editor and word processor included with OS X.
