Open, Set Up, and Close FaceTime
FaceTime is Apple’s technology for making video calls. At this writing, FaceTime works with all recent Macs, the iPhone 4 and 4S, the iPad 2 and the new iPad, and the fourth-generation iPod touch and later models. If you connect a webcam and microphone to your Mac mini, you can make FaceTime calls.
To use FaceTime, you must have an Apple ID. If you have an iCloud account, or if you have shopped at the iTunes Store or the App Store, you already have an Apple ID. If you do not have an Apple ID, you can create one during the setup process.
