Get a Key and Activate Akismet
Sadly, junk producers have created junk comments just like junk e-mail. Happily, WordPress comes with the Akismet spam-capturing and spam-identification feature built in. WordPress.com bloggers have the service running by default. Users of self-hosted WordPress blogs have to take a couple of extra steps for Akismet to work for them.
Get a Key and Activate Akismet
Go to http://Akismet.com/wordpress in your browser.
Click Get an Akismet API key.
