Create and Install a Favicon for a Self-Hosted Blog

You can add to your “brand” by displaying a favicon, the tiny icon that appears next to a web address in many browsers. The favicon also may appear in a browser’s Favorites or Bookmarks list. See Chapter 2 for icons related to your WordPress.com blog.

Do not worry about pronouncing favicon correctly. There is no definitive pronunciation. Options include FAVE-icon, from the word’s root as favorite icon, and FAVV-uh-con, with a short a, as in hat.
