Now that you have determined what to teach and the type of students you will be working with, you need to develop objectives for the course, which are the building blocks for the entire training session.

Developing Objectives

The results of the analysis will translate into specific learning objectives. The objectives must contain observable and measurable outcomes and should state in detail what the learners will be able to accomplish once the training session is over.

There are two types of objectives: terminal and enabling.

  1. The terminal objective clearly states the tasks the students need to perform by the end of the training.
