In the previous chapter, we explored a number of Internet Control Message Protocol version 6 (ICMPv6) error messages. These are sent back to the originator of an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) datagram when the originator detects an error it, thereby making it impossible for the error to be delivered.
