The following global variables have special meaning to the BLT toolkit:

blt_library: Directory containing Tcl scripts and other files related to BLT. Uses the BLT_LIBRARY environment variable if set; otherwise uses a compiled-in library.
blt_version: The current version of BLT in the form major-number. minornumber.
