Aviation Inspector Training
Jennifer Guitard, of Tecsult Eduplus, Inc., Halifax, Nova Scotia, was tasked with developing competency profiles of skills, knowledge, and attributes of several types of Transport Canada inspectors. The overall goal of the analysis was to conduct an intensive and detailed competency inventory (a task list structured by skills and subskills that lists the knowledge and attribute components of each skill) of aviation transportation inspectors—identifying common elements in order to train them as a group. A follow-on activity was to employ competency inventories as a means of training in specific areas.
