4. Talking to Your Day-Timer

For many people, an iPhone or other smartphone provides a replacement for a handwritten organizer like the classic Day-Timer. If you’re too young to be familiar with Day-Timers, they have printed pages with spaces for reminders, notes, and calendar appointments, as well as lists of contacts.

Rather than scrawling handwritten notes onto a printed calendar page, the iPhone 4S and Siri set up appointments, take notes, and set reminders with a conversation. It’s more like having your own personal assistant taking care of business for you than using an electronic device.
