SUSTAINABILITY AND ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY

IN PART ONE OF THIS book, we introduced the topic of sustainability, using GE to show how one of today’s best-run companies is implementing business strategies based on solving some of the world’s biggest environmental and social problems. We then defined and explained sustainability, examined some of the factors that are making it a priority for businesses everywhere, and described its special relevance to HR professionals.
