Chapter 10. Use Maps & Location Services

iPhone owners may not use Maps as much as Phone, Safari or even the latest downloaded game. But, in terms of what it can do and how well it does it, nothing else compares. In my opinion, Maps is the crown jewel of the iPhone apps, and that's why I've chosen to give it a special section in this book.

Maps can display a map of any selected location. But that's just the appetizer of its capabilities. You can use it to get directions from one location to another, find your current location and track it as you move, check on traffic, locate restaurants or virtually any store (including getting addresses and phone numbers), search your list of contacts, and more.
