Use a Boot Camp Partition in Fusion

If you've already installed Windows using Boot Camp, you needn't reinstall Windows. You can quickly configure Fusion to use your existing installation by following these steps:

  1. Launch VMware Fusion (in /Applications).

  2. In the Virtual Machine Library window, double-click Boot Camp Partition to run your Boot Camp Windows installation under Fusion.

  3. Wait for Windows to launch. On the first run of Windows, Fusion modifies your Boot Camp Windows installation to work correctly in a virtual machine—a process that can take several minutes. You may be required to enter your Mac OS X administrator password.
