Chapter . Customizing the Formatting Palette

The Formatting Palette appears when you toggle it on by choosing View > Formatting Palette. If you’re not a habitual user of the Formatting Palette, I recommend that you become one, since it’s the easiest way to view and assign fonts, paragraph formatting, and more. Also, in some cases it’s your only access to certain functionality.

The following are two new aspects of the Formatting Palette that you should be aware of. Both of these aspects can be customized, so you’ll want to set them up in a way you’re comfortable with.
