Chapter . Install iWeb

To install iLife ’06, your Mac must meet or exceed the following minimum requirements:

  • A Macintosh computer with a PowerPC G4, G5, Intel Core Solo or Intel Core Duo processor, and at least 256 MB of memory (512 MB or higher is recommended). iWeb is a Universal application (so it runs on PowerPC- and Intel-based Macs), and it operates much faster on the Intel-based machines.

  • DVD drive (SuperDrive or Combo Drive).

  • At least 10 GB of available disk space if you want to install all of the iLife ’06 software.

  • Mac OS X Panther 10.3.9 or Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.3 or later.

    Tiger 10.4.4 or later is required for recording from iChat AV in GarageBand (useful when recording podcasts), iPhoto photocasts, and iMovie HD themes.

  • iTunes 6.0.2 or later ...
