Learn about Library Views

You can manage even a ginormous library of books by looking at smaller groups of books and sorting them according to your at-the-moment needs. Both the Mac and the iOS versions of iBooks help you browse your Library with groups and sorts, but their approaches are different enough to be confusing if you use iBooks on both platforms.

On the Mac, you have five views to choose from: four are icon-based and one is a list. Switching views means looking at different groupings of books, with different sorting options, with no choice as to whether it’s in icon or list form. The Collections view—with handy user-defined groups along with three permanent divisions—is just one of the views.
