Like the Walkmans and boom boxes of yore, the iPad is a great music player. In this chapter, I first explore the Music app. I then provide pointers on acquiring Podcasts and I talk about iTunes U, a bountiful source of audio and video lectures—and even complete courses.

The Music app is the Apple-centric headquarters for playing audio on your iPad. The methods available for loading audio files into Music depend on the type of content—music, audiobook, or podcast episode:
