Apple’s addition of screen sharing to iChat a few years ago was a boon for anyone who has ever tried to help someone use a computer without being in the same room as that computer.
I cover iChat early in this ebook and separately from the other forms of Mac OS X screen sharing because although it has some elements in common with these other methods, it lacks all of the controls and has significant differences. iChat screen sharing tends to require more explanation to make it work for you.
This chapter also discusses an extension of screen sharing with iChat called iChat Theater. iChat Theater doesn’t allow another party to view your screen, but it does allow you to push the display of photos or documents from your Desktop.
