Create Links
Sometimes you want to direct your readers to a different page in a PDF, or to a Web page that has useful information. In fact, if you are reading this book in PDF form (and most of you are), you have already seen, and probably used, some of the many links that appear within it.
Unlike HTML links, which are attached to text or objects on a Web page, PDF links consist of transparent rectangular objects that you place on top of some text, or an image, or, in fact, any area of the page that you want to link to another location.
As I described in The Markup Tools (oh, look: a PDF link!), you have two tools that you can use to create links: a Page Link tool and a URL Link tool.
