Chapter 7. Use Your iPad as a Remote

Apple's free Remote app isn't included with the iPad, but it should have been. Its premise is simple: control iTunes or an Apple TV remotely over a Wi-Fi connection with an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch.

Although the iPad makes a nice music player, you may wish to play music that's not on the iPad or through a better speaker system. For example, in my house, we listen to music streamed to an AirPort Express—Apple's small wireless base station that includes audio hookups—connected to the stereo.
