Use an External Display

Because the iPad's display is too small for more than a few people to view comfortably at the same time, you'll most likely want to use an external display (such as a video projector or a large-screen TV) to play your presentation. In order to do this, you'll need an appropriate adapter:

  • Apple iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter: In most cases, this is the one you want. It lets Keynote display presentations on any projector, display, or TV with a VGA input—which is the vast majority of them. Plus, this adapter is the only one that lets you display the iPad's full 1024-by-768 pixel resolution on an external monitor.
