In reading this book, you may get stuck if you don't know certain fundamental facts about your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, or if you don't understand Take Control syntax for certain common activities. Please note the following:
iPhone OS devices: The title of this ebook is Take Control of Mail on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, because all three devices use essentially the same Mail app (with some notable interface differences in the iPad version) and have the same underlying email capabilities. However, to avoid writing out all three device names over and over, I normally say "iPhone OS device," "mobile device" or even just "device"—except where I need to call attention to features that differ between the iPad and the smaller devices. ...
