Use Windows in a Virtual Machine

If you followed the instructions in the previous chapter, you should now have a functional copy of Windows running in a window on your Mac. Working inside that window should be almost exactly the same as using Windows on a standalone PC.

However, there’s much more to Parallels Desktop than the contents of that window. In this chapter I cover those additional details—how to start, stop, and suspend virtual machines; change the view mode; adjust screen resolution and use multiple displays; connect USB devices to your virtual machine; share data, apps, and other resources between your Mac and Windows; and numerous other tasks.
