Chapter . Use Bluetooth

In addition to Wi-Fi and EDGE, the iPhone supports one other type of wireless connection: Bluetooth. To enable Bluetooth, go to the Settings > General > Bluetooth screen and move the slider to On. After doing this, the Bluetooth icon appears in the status bar by the batter icon, like this: Use Bluetooth.

Turning on Bluetooth makes your iPhone discoverable by other Bluetooth devices (which is not currently of much value, as I explain in a moment). It also initiates a search by the iPhone for other discoverable Bluetooth devices to which it can connect.
