9.6 Concluding Remarks

Although we covered ICDs I, V, and X (from Figure 8.2) in detail, we also came across other ICDs defined in Chapter 8. For example, Sections 9.4.5.1 and 9.4.5.2 gave an example of what ICD VI can cover. The segmentation of cipher text IP packets mentioned in Section 9.3 are related to ICD II since the HAIPE cipher text side can be configured for the MTU size going to the cipher text IP layer. Examples of the capabilities of ICDs III and IV are detailed within the WNW waveform in Chapter 6. Cross layer signaling between the cipher text IP layer and the peer-to-peer relation of cipher text IP layers are well studied and can be turned into ICDs. ICD VIII is radio specific and there are ongoing efforts to define the details of this ICD (see reference [1]).
