Installing the Windows Intune Subscription and Connector
With directory synchronization running and the mobile platform prerequisites completed, you can create the Intune subscription and install the Intune connector site system role. When the subscription is created, ConfigMgr also adds a new site system server, named \\manage.microsoft.com, which represents the cloud distribution point used by Configuration Manager when distributing applications to mobile devices. The Windows Intune Connector site system role performs the actual connection to the Intune cloud service to gather or deliver mobile device related content via a secure connection.
