Summary

Microsoft has done a great job of helping to enable people-centric IT with the additional feature of User Data and Profiles. As demonstrated in this chapter, you have the ability to help enable any user, on any device, anywhere. By using this feature in ConfigMgr, you can target groups of users and systems based on ConfigMgr criteria instead of controlling by GPO. This capability provides you as an administrator with more granular control for targeting the configuration of user data and profiles, reducing the risk of configuring/linking the wrong group policy object to production.

The next chapter covers application management.
