Pausing a Task Sequence

Task sequences should only be paused when troubleshooting. Pausing the task sequence allows you to manually simulate actions, test incomes, and review or update configurations in short order without having to change the task sequence or rerun it from the beginning.

Pausing a task sequence involves adding a never-ending script into a set of tasks that are executing where you want the task sequence to pause. Use the pause.vbs VBScript, discussed in Chapter 6, to pause a task sequence and resume it after completing any manual operations.
