Configuring Custom Client Device Settings for Endpoint Protection
As a best practice, the authors recommend configuring and using custom client settings. Default client settings apply to all clients in your hierarchy. If you modify the default client settings and enable the SCEP client, this applies to the All Systems collection and thus all clients within that collection. It is better to create custom client device settings to target specific collections where you want to enable the SCEP client agent. Custom client settings are always a higher priority than the default client settings.
