Although enabling the endpoint protection point site system role is easy to perform, take time first to plan how you intend to roll out the SCEP agent across your hierarchy, and how you will configure it on your desktops, laptops, and servers. The authors strongly recommend you not configure the default client agent settings for endpoint protection, because this would apply to all computers across your hierarchy.
