Summary

Microsoft’s decision to integrate System Center Endpoint Protection fully into System Center Configuration Manager was an appropriate one. By consolidating security tasks with client management and thereby reducing your costs and enhancing ability, Microsoft has extended the capabilities of SCEP to match the security constrains it needs to work with in these malware-prevalent times. The decision also removes confusion for organizations previously protecting their clients with multiple third-party software solutions because now they can simply enable the endpoint protection role within Configuration Manager, configure their client settings and custom antimalware policies, and secure their infrastructure easily and cost-effectively.
