Delivery of Definition Updates
When configuring custom antimalware policies for endpoint protection, you can configure definition update sources from a combination of five available options. The sources you choose is up to you, and you can choose just one or several. Determine the level of antimalware definition updates support you want for your clients and whether you want them to obtain definition updates from outside of your organization from places such as Microsoft Update. Here are the five sources:
• Updates distributed from WSUS: Select this option if you have WSUS installed and configured to obtain definition updates for endpoint protection, particularly if you are not using a SUP to deliver the definitions.
