Heartbeat Discovery

Heartbeat discovery for mobile devices works differently than it does with computer clients. When working with mobile devices, the management point generates the data discovery records (DDR) for these devices.

Discovery activity is logged in the DMPRP.log file, which is located under %ProgramFiles%\CCM\Logs on the management point used by the device. If heartbeat discovery is disabled, the mobile devices are still discovered.

Also differing from normal heartbeat discovery is that if a mobile device is inactive and a DDR is not generated for it, the client’s certificate will be revoked.
