NAP Prerequisites
ConfigMgr implements NAP using a separate site system role—the system health validator (SHV) point. Install this new role on a Windows Server 2008 or Server 2008 R2 system that has the NPS role already installed. (Installing and configuring the NPS role is beyond the scope of this book; for detailed information including step-by-step guides, see http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/network/bb545879.aspx.) Perform the following steps on this system to install the SHV:
1. Navigate to the Administration workspace.
2. In the navigation tree, under Overview, expand Site Configuration, and select Servers and Site System Roles. All currently installed site systems display on the right.
