SCUP Installation
You can install SCUP on any system with connectivity to your top-level SUP, including the site server or a remote workstation that also has the WSUS admin console installed (or full WSUS) and runs one of the following operating systems:
• Windows 7 SP 1
• Windows Server 2008 R2 SP 1
• Windows Server 2008 SP 2
• Windows Vista SP 2
A prerequisite for SCUP 2011 is a hotfix for WSUS, described in Microsoft KB article 2530678 at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2530678. The SCUP installation provides a convenient link that opens a web page for this article. You should install this hotfix on every site system in your hierarchy that has a SUP.
