Update Templates

The product team chose to hide this object type because it does not have any explicit functionality of its own although it is still useful. The only time you see update templates referenced is during the Deploy Software Updates Wizard as discussed in the “Update Deployments” section. Update templates store a distinct set of parameters that you can reuse when creating an update deployment. Instead of respecifying the parameters each time you create an update deployment, you pick a previously created update template that already has all these parameters defined.
