User Collections Versus Device Collections
Although the examples in this chapter have focused on device collections, all software deployments (except for task sequences and software updates) can be targeted to user collections. Consider the following when targeting deployments:
• User-targeted deployments appear in the Application Catalog.
• Device-targeted deployments appear in Software Center.
• Deployments that appear in Software Center are evaluated when the policy is downloaded from the management point.
• Deployments that appear in Application Catalog are evaluated only when the user selects to install the application.
