Validating Content

As mentioned in Chapter 6, you can enable content validation on a weekly or daily basis or at multiple intervals. When ConfigMgr validates content, it enumerates all content that should be on the DP, and for each item it performs a hash check on each required file and compares that information with the information stored in ConfigMgr.

When content is validated, the information is reported back to the site server, whether pass or fail. ConfigMgr reports only the data; there is no built-in method to automate the process to attempt to re-send to DPs, or to revalidate.
